Cape Township Tour - Half Day Tour
This is essentially an eye-opener to township life-realities. An inter-active experience for guests who want to experience township life first hand.Highlights Include :
- Walking through Bo-Kaap (formerly known as Malay Quarter)
- Visit District 6 Museum and what is left of former District Six
- Meet a family (by mutual agreement) in a former “coloured” Townshipl
- Perhaps later visit a Restaurant or Craft center in Langa, Gugulethu or Khayelitsha
- Take a short safe walk to a B&B or restaurant in Khayelitsha
- Visit (with permission) a black family in their “shanty house”
- See former home-less women weaving mats at a Women's Empowerment Center in the township
- A Possible visit to a Kindergarten in Khayelitsha or Bontheuwel
- On Sundays we spend 20 min in a charismatic church
- Tour ends in a highly vibrant Shebeen (beer-hall)
