Llandudno Accommodation
Llandudno is one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town and is situated only 18 kilometres from the centre of the city. The tranquil little cove is perfect for those that seek complete peace and privacy. Llandudno is named after a British seaside town in Wales and this small exclusive seaside village has only one road in and out and no shops whatsoever. The Landudno beach is picture perfect framed by bushes, trees and giant boulders and has a good surfable wave. From the rocks you can see the remains of the tanker Romelia shipwrecked in 1977 after the tow rope snapped and the tug lost control.A 20 minute walk from Sunset Rocks is the famous nudist beach of Sandy Bay, the mention of which often causes guffaws. There is no direct vehicle access, which helps to stop passing ogglers, and generally people respect each other’s privacy. The only ones getting a good view of this beach are those taking a scenic helicopter ride from the Waterfront. Llandudno, a residential suburb in a stunning setting with houses running right down to the sea
Llandudno might be an upmarket suburb with properties fetching well into the millions, but its residents regard it as something of a coastal town and the suburb has no street lights, restaurants or shops of any kind. This is reinforced by the fact that Llandudno is accessed by only one road and there is minimal parking for visitors to the beach. Llandudno, named after the Welsh town of the same name, lies in the shadow of mountains.
